Peer Support for NICU Families
Practical Support,
Emotional Support
A community that understands.
Peer support for parents who have had or currently have babies in Blackpool’s Neonatal Unit.
Committed to Supporting Neonatal Parents in Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre
NICU Neighbours supports parents who currently have or have previously had babies in Blackpool's Neonatal Unit. Through in-person peer support and an active online community, we connect families with others who understand the neonatal journey.

Creation
NICU Parents of Blackpool Victoria Hospital was set up in December 2024 by Alicia, mum to 3 premature babies. The group was created because Alicia had experienced how lonely, overwhelming and isolating the NICU experience could be- and how much support is needed, not just in the NICU, but long after families leave.
The group flourished and became a CIC (Community Inerest Comany) in July 2026.
